Veloce Santiago has many organized rides throughout the week :
Every Saturday at the shop ((http://www.santiagocycling.com/ )
On Saturday mornings, we welcome guests to join the Team to develop their skills and fitness. The Saturday ride is intended to be a controlled pace in a non-competitive group riding environment. We stress safety and pace line etiquette above all, and these rides are a great way to learn proper pace line and group riding techniques. The Saturday rides vary, but plan to be about 25-45 miles long at an “A” pace of 20-23 miles per hour, “B” pace of 18-21 miles per hour in the first “B” group, and 17-19 MPH in the second “B” group. There is also an “instructional” (“C”) group for those new to the club and for those who don’t want to ride at a “B” pace. Other groups may be formed depending on the number of riders present for the ride. The “C” group is where we teach you how to ride in a structured, organized group ride. Saturday rides start promptly at 7:30am, so come early and be ready to roll on time.
The meeting place is the parking lot of Santiago Cycling at 115 N. Prospect in Tustin. (Please be respectful of the parking spaces reserved for other tenants in the building. Overflow parking available on the street and in the McDonald’s parking lot.)
Helmets are mandatory.
Come and join us Saturday mornings! Enjoy the ride, hang out for coffee and bagels afterwards and see what Team Veloce Santiago is all about.
There are usually several Sunday rides to choose from every week of the year. “A” and “B+” rides typically start at the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf in Irvine( Corner of Alton and Jeffrey). “B” and “C” level groups also typically ride from the shop (http://www.santiagocycling.com/). So many variables,so route and roll out time usually decided at the Saturday ride. All the more reason to show up on Saturday!!. Sunday rides are for club members and invited guests only. See, another reason to get in the groove.
Tuesday PM rides( Commence after daylight savings and continue until October)
Interval session every Tuesday. Leaves from the shop (http://www.santiagocycling.com ) at 5:30 sharp for about a five mile warm up to the interval loop at Orchard Hills( Or meet the group at the corner of Orchard Hills and Portola). Again, club memebers and invited guests only. While posted at 5:30, the actual start time of these rides varies depending on the amount of daylight, so early and late in the season the start time may be as early as 5:00.
Thursday PM rides( Commence after daylight savings and continue until October)
